Morning peeps! How is everyone doing on this freezing Monday morning? For me it’s my first day back at work after the craziness of the press days in Antwerp last week. 2 days of discovering next seasons’ trends, new must-haves, getting to know new people and eating yummy food. Oh, and 1 day of ass sitting and doing a-b-s-o-l-u-t-l-y nothing. Don’t underestimate these days, it’s a little like a little fashion marathon. A.k.a., exhausting. But oh so fun!
But first things first. After being in traffic for over 2 hours (welcome to Belgium), my body needed food. And boy did we get spoiled with a healthy breakfast. What was the damage?
Power breakfast by Gen’eat
Homemade granola #NoSugar | A banana, pineapple, fresh mint, lemon + spelt wheat milk smoothie | chia pudding with a topping of fresh fruit and a slice of banana bread as uuh, dessert? Can I get a yum! Everything was prepared by the lady behind the blog Gen’eat and it was de-lic-ious!
After our power breakfast, we were ready to hit the day and go explore some Spring/Summer 2016 trends. To keep it short: pastel shades are going nowhere so far. I also spotted lots of camel brown fabrics (and camel brown leather), bright yellow and tons of denim. Expect flared jeans, midi skirts and high waist models. I often had the feeling the 90s were back from the past. If that is a good thing, or not? I’ll let you be the judge of that. xD
Now, in the shoe department it’s clearly time for an era where you can forget about the less is more rule. Glitter, patterns, high platforms. Seriously, my eyes came a couple of times. And seeing how buying a house costs a lot of money, I’m planning to only invest in a couple of awesome pairs of footwear to change up my looks instead of buying new clothes. Smart, no? ^^

All by, wait for it … Hush Puppies! I was super surprised to see how they are taking their brand to a new level. Personally, I only knew this brand as being a Mommy brand. But not anymore baby, not anymore.
High platform espadrilles by Guess (Aah I’m in love! I mean cmon, how awesome are these?!) Furry Adidas sneakers. Simpel, recognizable, but yet so different. Glitter, pastel & metallic espadrilles | all by Marco Tozzi
Scapa Sport metallic pink sandals | so ugly that they become awesome again. And that color, aargh that color.

A brand from the Netherlands and not only with fun shoes, this brand also has some great basic clothing pieces, it also has some fun sweaters at a great price.
And what did you expect, of course more food!
That being said, let’s keep it at this for now. In my next post, I’ll dive into to world of little shiny wonders: accessories, some of my favorite clothing pieces I’ve spotted and a little about home and interior. Until then, I’d love to hear if you see a pair of shoes you absolutely love (or hate)!
