AurélieLast week it was that time of the year again: P-p-p-press days! While we’re all getting in the summer mood and looking forward to buying our first bikini and pair of sunnies, journalists, bloggers and stylists were invited to go discover the upcoming fall/winter trends. And let me tell you, seeing all those amazingly beautiful items and knowing they wont hit the stores for another few months, asks for a big dose of character.
Anyway, not the point of this post ^^ Obviously I wanna share my findings on those upcoming trends, and some of my favorite pieces I spotted during these hectic but oh so fun days in Antwerp and Brussels. Ready for it? Here. We. Go.
BLANKET COATS! | N° 1 ITEM TO INVEST IN NEXT SEASON
It looks like a blanket (taaahh, excited!), it often feels like a blanket (again: aahh!), it’s comfortable and warm AND you can actually leave the house with it! Seriously, am I the only one who’s jumping up and down about this?! This winter version of the kimono-like top is the first thing I’ll be getting for sure. I saw so many beautiful ones, I’m 100% positive it’s gonna be impossible to ignore them in stores next season and not to end up with 10 of them. You’ve been warned. Next winter, crazy blanket ladies will concur the streets.

SKIRTS IN ALL THEIR GLORY
After seeing skirts in all sizes, colors, fabrics and lengths, I think it’s safe to say you can’t go wrong with a skirt next fall/winter. Pleated skirt, midi-skirts, maxi-skirts, A-line skirts, bring it. You can also go crazy material-wise. Metallic colors, leather, knitted, printed, plane … it’s all allowed.

SUIT UP!
I hate to admit it, but slowly, we’ll “have” to say goodbye to skinny jeans and say hello to suit pants instead. Even though I do appreciate this feminine bottom option, it will take some time to really leave the skinny behind and I’m even doubting if I will ever be able to do that.

ACCESSORIZE
Nothing is as important as accessories in my eyes. (Except world peace, of course. And kittens.) Here are a couple of items that really caught my attention and stole my heart.

Now, press days aren’t all about spotting trends. It’s also about networking, meeting up with fellow bloggers and PR peeps. It’s about chitchatting about a million things and have tons of yummy food.
Let’s end with a couple of spring/summer items to snap you back into the sunny vibes:
Komono, you crazy brand! There is not one item I don’t like from their collection. Okay the sunnies on the first picture is clearly the queen bee. But also this one is still very #needtogetmyhandsonthese.
With a cup like this one of Wander & Co, you’ll just start everyday extra bright, no?! Oh, and how beautiful is this pastel blue nail polish by BE creative? I seriously developed a weak spot for pastels this season. Not that into pastels? Not to worry, bright orange is another very on-trend color for the summer!
Nanushka, a brand I discovered during these press days, knew about the orange trend as well and developed these beautiful high platform slip-ons. #wishlisted
