Last week I had a true “kid in a candy store” experience. I think you all know by now that I have a serious interior addiction, so when I received an invitation to join the Morres Wonen bloggers event, I was both curious and excited. (A bit like a puppy.)
What it was about?
One word: Awesomeness! But allow me to start at the beginning. ^^ After our short drive of 30 minutes (I was surprised because the store is actually in the Netherlands while I’m from Belgium), we were welcomed with coffee and tea, sweets and lots of enthusiasm coming from Morres employees as well as other bloggers.
After some chitchat, we started with a tour throughout the whole store. We got some information about the store itself, the brands they sell, their massive webshop and the different departments (kids, bed/bath/living room, lights, carpets, paint, floors … you name it. And oh, lots of pretty interior items). The entire store had a great vibe about it. At the kitchen department, someone was making little pizza’s. At the tableware section, there was someone baking pottery, and at the curtain section there was an in-store workshop where you could see staff making pre-ordered curtains. They really do great things to connect both online and offline with their customers. And did I mention the little bars they have in the store already? Pretty cool.
Lunchtime!
After the tour we got some free time to head out on our own. As the group was filled with interior fans, we all went our own way for some inspiration searching and wish list filling, while a (private :O) chef was preparing a lovely meal for us.
On the menu? A salad with pomegranate, peaches and slices of sweetened duck as starters, followed by a mushroom risotto. Cool fact: the plates used to serve our food were made especially for the event by the pottery baker we saw during our tour. Pretty, hu?!! :O
3,2,1 … Styling time!
But now, the reason why I felt like a kid in a candy store… after lunch there was a styling competition. The challenge? Decorate your own little corner. The rules? Use anything and everything. The E.N.T.I.R.E store was our playground.
I think you get why this was pretty awesome. Having an entire store to pick out interior items (without the need to check price tags ^^), playing with all these pretty interior items and searching for more when needed… calling it fun would be an understatement.

My little corner
I didn’t win, unfortunately. ^^ But seeing how everyone made such a great place I wasn’t surprised. I think the jury didn’t have it easy picking out a winner (congrats again to Zoë by the way!). Either way, I did love my creation. Lots of white and soft shades with green details and a little wink to the upcoming holidays. I can’t wait to do the same in our home-to-be.
The end…
Even though there can only be one winner, I think it’s safe to say we all had a blast! Hence the fun/crazy group picture below. And we didn’t went home empty-handed. We all got a gift voucher to pick out a few things. So the day after I went back with the boyfriend and my parents to show them my little corner in real life and to do some early Christmas shopping.
What I took home: this beautiful vase, some marble shizzle and this über cute cactus vase. #pretty #love
What do you think of the corner I created? Like it or not your thing? And have you ever been to Morres Wonen by the way? For me it was my first time. But I can tell you already, it won’t be the last. :D
