More and more things are getting finalised and things are starting to shape up.Time for a new behind the scenes update!
And then there was light…
We had to make some budget cuts in other areas to end up with more than the wires and lightbulbs you typically see in new houses… but today we can proudly say that our living area and kitchen are foreseen of light!Pretty lights!With our high ceilings (hello 7m) we had some difficulties to find something functional and pretty.
Because, even though we really wanted something that provides enough light, we also have a weak spot (ha!get it ^^) for all things pretty.While walking through a clothing store about a year ago; I got the idea to use a rail system that I had seen in many high-ceiling stores.Their rails had these beautiful simplistic spots that gave plenty of light.When I saw it, I really had a little eureka moment!Finally we had found some sort of solution to get enough light in our living area.The search for such a similar rail system was pretty exhausting though.It often felt like it was only made for stores and none of the stores we visited had something remotely similar… Luckily we eventually found exactly what we had in mind at dmlights. best online slots sites canadaAnd even more, because not only did we found our rail system… we also needed some regular built-in spots for the couch area and found the prettiest ones right then and there!As of today, we are good to go for (hopefully) the next 20 years or so.^^
DIY’ing
Even though the bigger tasks are as good as done, we still have plenty of little things left to do and there are some DIY projects on the agenda as well.This pile of wood below for instance is the base of my makeup corner-to-be, our dynamical wall shelves wall and our bedroom window sills.
