Let me give you a visual image: Yay holidays, walking on the beach, warm temperatures, zen-mode… But then *doemdoemdoem*: What do I wear? How much can I take with me? Why is this suitcase so small, where is my bikini bottom? This is the hardest thing ever…!
You see how fast those situations can escalate?! Packing for the holidays can be very exciting and a torture at the same time. *Whoesaa*
But I’m word vomiting a bit, what I’m really trying to say is that I’ll be leaving for a trip to Paris and Spain very soon. Basically, lots of packing and unpacking will take place. And we tend to let out our inner hamster out in situations like these, resulting in packing way too much stuff.
So try to pack smart, pack Travel Size. You’ll thank me later when you’re carrying a lightweight, essentials-only, suitcase.
To survive airplanes: Clinique’s anti-blemish solution, my go-to savior to survive any flight. Seriously, I always grow a set of zits on airplanes. And sunscreen is a savior of, uuh well, your skin (duhh!), your complete body, possibly your life. (drama-queen moment.)
For those non-pool/beach moments, I only need some mascara and something to get rid of it again. No ladies, it’s not because you’ll be in a pool or ocean the entire day, that your make-up will disappear on its own.
Okay, not only mascara is what I’ll take. A bright lipstick of Yves Rocher to get that summer look in a heartbeat with hardly any effort has to come as well. (It’s okay to be make-up lazy on your vacation. Any kind of lazy as a matter of fact.)
And last but definitely not least, a good pair of sunnies like this pair of Spektre, swimwear, some magazines (preferably travel size) and that piece of connection to the rest of the world.
How are your packing skills?
