Hello, vintage look. Mixing high waist shorts and a knotted shirt… never thought I was gonna live in an era where it’s allowed again. Especially in combination with some good old fashion patchwork.
But hey, knotting is the new tucking, patches are the newest denim trend and high waist has been slowly crawling back into our lives for a while now. So go wild. The knotting part by the way is the perfect alternative for anyone who secretly liked the crop top trend but wasn’t in the mood to uncover their entire belly to the world. Keeping things covered up a little more is perfectly possible by combining a knotted shirt with high waist shorts or flared jeans. It’s also an immediate wink to the 70s.
The feminine hat, retro sunglasses, nude sandals and fun patchwork are the little details that make this look a perfect road trip outfit rather than a yipeyayeey-kinda-cowgirl-ready-to-ride-a-bull style. Hey, it’s often in the details. ^^
What I’m wearing: GAP hat, H&M striped shirt, Topshop patched shorts, Even&Odd retro sunglasses, brandless sandels. What do you think of knotted shirts and high waist shorts? And more importantly, what do you think of combining them like I did above? A big yess or a hell no?
