Last supper … in 2013 at least. It’s no secret that I love to eat. Damn, I even eat more than my boyfriend (he’ll hate me for saying this out loud) and I easily keep up with my Dad.On New Year’s Eve we went to the besties of my parents (does that make me boring now? Neh!) and there was a Spanish theme (meaning: lots of food) which sounded like music to my ears.
Let the foodfest begin!
Starting with some Sangria. Feeling like I’m on holiday in a sunny country.
Appetizer with tuna and ansjovis. (Sorry, tunas.)
Not sure what was in it but there was definitely some cheese involved. And it was yummy.
Some colorful candles to match the Spanish theme. Olé!
The first warm dish of the evening, some mussels with a tomato sauce and slices of lime. Finger lickin’ good.
Scampi with an extremely delicious sauce. Yummmyyy. (Getting hungry already?)
Oh my, so goood! Spare ribs covered with honey and spices. Damn!
The main dish: Paella. Of course, what else.
Blended kaki fruit with some amaretto, a scoop of vanilla ice cream an a piece of kaki.
And of course, no countdown to the new year without some champagne.
I hope you-all had an amazing New Year’s Eve with lots of food, fun, family and/or friends. Let’s kick ass in 2014.
