Hi lovelies, I know beauty stuff isn’t really my cup of tea, but I feel it’s my obligation to you to share my experience with these magical black bottles of Lush.

Cause let’s face it , who doesn’t hate those pimples that always appear on the worst

possible moments? (Nope, that doesn’t only happen to you.) That redness and sensitive skin that gets you annoyed day after day. And worst of all, that greasy looking head like you took a dive in a bottle of olive oil… It really kicks your confidence in the weiner, that’s for sure.

Well look no further! Because I have finally found some products that seem to do the trick. (Feeling my excitement already!?)

In this post I’ll describe the first of those magical babies: Herbalism, a daily-use herbal cleanser.

The product itself has a special scent. A bit like a freshly mowed lawn mixed with seaweed. Not bad but it will not start with those ‘oh wow, this smells delicious’ comments. So let’s just say I’m not really that fond of the smell. (Why doesn’t just everything smell like cookies?!)

The packaging itself looks rather simple, like almost all Lush products it goes into one of these black containers. Maybe not the most appealing packaging, but the fact that they recycle these makes up for that big time. (Greenhearted person talking.) And they do what they need to do.

Now, knowing that this product is made from fresh ingredients such as ground almonds, nettle, rosemary, chamomile oil, sage oil and rose absolute to soothe and calm as you cleanse, it’s not a surprise that it doesn’t smell like an everyday beauty product.

After having used it for months now, I did notice a certain appreciation for the the scent. But that might have something to do with the good results I’m getting. Because honestly, it really does what it promises to do. Getting you a clean, (extremely!) soft feeling skin, less redness and most important, a matte skin with fewer impurities. Sounds pretty fantastic right!

It has definitely been a while since I felt so enthusiastic about a cleanser and it gave my confident a boost I really needed.

Like you can see in the pictures above, it’s a little more complicated then a usual cleanser. Unlike taking something liquid out of a bottle, it’s more a dry and product that turns into a paste when you add some water. Mixing it a bit makes it ready to apply on your face.

Very important: take out the product with the back of a clean spoon or something similar. Don’t use your vingers as they contain hundreds of bacteria. Yes even when you just washed your hands.

The price for Herbalism is €9,90/100g. Not really cheap but you can easily last a couple of months with it and the results are there.

Do you have some of the same skin troubles? Did you already try this product or others by Lush? Or do you have found an even better product? Let me know in a comment below. Love to hear.

In my next post, I’ll talk about how I combine Herbalism with Mask of Magnaminty. And trust me, you’re gonna wanna read that it if you’re interested in cleaning your pores deeply and tighten them at the same time.
