Previous Fashion Weeks in London, New York, Paris and Milan have clearly uncovered some new fashion trends. One of those trends that’ll be important in the autumn-winter season of 2013-2014, is the Scottish tartan. (I’m pulling my excited face right now.)

From red, green, blue and black checks to luxury coat-capes, stylish pants and elegant jackets … They all breathe a certain royal elegance. But to be absolute honest… I wouldn’t wear this print in all colors. I just don’t think I can pull it off. By all means, I’m not Cara.

Of course designers wouldn’t be called designers if they wouldn’t take traditional aspects to another level and turn it into their own. For a glimpse of how designers gave the kilt fabric their own inspirational twist: think grunge at Saint Laurent and masculine at Céline and Stella McCartney.
